I've had a very difficult life. My parents were alcoholics, placing me in an orphanage with hopes that the Ukrainian government would assume responsibility. Although they were my legal guardians, they wanted nothing to do with me. My grandmother refused to have her grand-daughter raised in the orphanage and took me home with her. Since infancy, I have lived with her, considering her my mother.
